Meile Tokenomics
Fees, Burns, & Buybacks
Plans & Direct Payments
There is a 10% surcharge for plans paid outside of Sentinel’s native coin P2P. This is to incentivize users to use the native coin to support the network.
There is a 4.2069% fee of total direct node session cost. This fee helps subsidize development of Meile as well as used to burn coins and reward MathNodes delegators.
Burn & Incentives
The 4.2069% fee appended to the direct session is allocated randomly to 1-of-10 wallets. The first wallet is used to burn any coins in its holdings, creating deflationary pressure on Sentinel’s P2P Coin.
The next 3 wallets balances are used as direct airdrops to the MathNodes delegators on Sentinel and beyond.
The remaining wallets are used as payment for ongoing development of Meile.
P2P Buybacks
A percentage of coins used to pay for Meile plans that are not Sentinel’s P2P coin will be used to purchase P2P on the open market. Buybacks are encouraging to users of Meile as it helps support the Sentinel network and native coin.
The remaining revenue received in off-chain payments will be used for development of Meile.
